On the peninsula there are indigenous endemic birds such as kingfishers, bile suckers, pheasants, wild chickens, waterfowl, watercats, painted foxes or stoned rocks. In which birds suck red bile (also known as firecrackers) with prominent feathers, specializing in sucking nectar and eating insects. Honey-nosed birds have long, thin, curved beaks, adapted to the life of eating nectar and insects.

The Creator bestowed on Da Nang its unique Son Tra Peninsula with a key position in terms of defense, forest ecosystems and marine biodiversity. Seen from above, Son Tra peninsula looks like a mushroom, the mushroom head is Son Tra mountain and the mushroom body is golden sand deposits.
