The Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold are expected to be announced on August 13 at the Made by Google event. However, images and information about the products have been leaked almost completely online.

Last weekend, Google previewed the duo on X. In it, the company confirmed that the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold have a camera cluster design that matches the leaked information. Specifically, the Pixel 9 Pro is equipped with a familiar capsule-shaped camera cluster but a more compact protective frame, instead of a long bar across the body like the previous generation. Meanwhile, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold foldable screen phone has a completely new camera design with a rectangular protective frame, four cameras arranged in parallel.

Pixel 9 Pro has a powerful upgrade with 3 rear cameras with the same resolution of 50 megapixels, the main camera and telephoto camera support OIS. The front camera is also upgraded to 50 megapixels with Sony IMX858 sensor, helping the ability to take photos and record selfies surpass the previous generation which used Samsung Isocell 10.5 megapixel sensor.

Pixel 9 Pro Fold replaces the ultra-wide angle sensor and selfie camera from Sony to a larger Samsung one. The main and telephoto cameras are similar to the previous generation.

Pixel 9 also features Gemini - the company's own AI to compete with ChatGPT. Previously, the technology site Android Authority said that this duo will integrate many new AI tools, such as the ability to save the user's usage history on the device, similar to Microsoft's Recall , take screenshots to search, or process information on photos.

The two devices will integrate the Tensor G4 chip, 12 or 16 GB RAM, up to 1 TB of internal memory, 5,050 mAh battery capacity, and 30 W fast charging.
